Assembly Tech I
The Assembly Tech I require some knowledge in mechanical assembly, cable, and wire harness assembly. The ability to read and understand basic assembly instructions and prints is required. Must be able to identify different types of components and technologies and have some surface mount and thru-hole soldering experience. Must have a working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and QMS standards.
The Assembly Tech I must work closely with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering and Test ensuring verbal and written communication are clear and understood.
The position functions in a manufacturing environment with long periods of sitting and the use of a microscope.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Responsible for assembling EMR’s product in accordance with EMR’s drawings and processes
Ensures manufacturing quality standards are met and maintains logs reflecting daily work
Work cooperatively in a team environment
Education / Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous SMT experience in electronic assembly
(CIS) J-STD-001 a plus, but not required
Should have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
Must have good SMT soldering skills, for SMT components to size 0402
Must be able to pass a soldering proficiency test prior to employment

This individual will be expected to:
Under the direction of supervision or higher classified Aircraft Electrician, assembles, mounts, braid and connects electrical cables, harnesses, sub-assemblies and component parts.
Work from drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions, operations work sheets and company, military and customer specifications procedures.
Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives.
Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product.
Check work for completeness and accuracy.
Perform Production Accountability duties associates with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment.
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
