Designed with the ability to find and train individuals for future position within an industry getting smaller each day, the TMA Internship Program in Aircraft Manufacturing Maintenance & Production goal is introduction into the world of the specialized training and capabilities necessary for aircraft sustainability. The recruiting process has become increasingly competitive and candidates need more initiative and tenacity than ever to land the job of their choice. How can you get your foot in the door?

An internship.

But what is an internship? Do you get paid? Do you volunteer? Do you perform substantive work? Or do you fetch coffee?

It depends. TMA’s internship program is rounded to ensure participants receive exposure to the entire business model while the focus remains around the aircraft.  On a rotational program TMA interns will rotate through manufacturing, information technology, production and quality control, accounting, government contracting and logistics. With so many internship rotations available out there, an internship can be practically any experience that combines learning with hands-on activity. In other words, internships can be paid or unpaid, full- or part-time, and short- or long-term. Internships can be formal programs with lengthy application procedures or informal opportunities that you seek out. No matter what, an internship offers you the opportunity to acquire practical skills in a structured environment.

Individualized training programs ensure the participants are receiving focus on those areas which will most likely provide for future opportunities while sharpening skills which will be necessary in the business world.
